VLM multifunction chambers for high sophisticated cyclic
corrosion tests (MF series)

The standard procedures of numerous automotive
manufacturers for simulating their products'
environmental conditions make high demands on the
chamber technology. They require a high degree of
flexibility especially of laboratory and engineering
service providers and automotive suppliers.

Due to their unique construction and material
composition, VLM corrosion testing chambers provide the
best conditions to realise these discerning test
procedures which include quickly changing test climates
on a very high quality level. Base tub and rear panel,
respectively the chest's sidewards panels, consist of
stainless steel coated with Halar® (ECTFE) which has
proved itself in chemical apparatus engineering. In
comparison to chambers totally made of plastic the test
bench of VLM multifunction corrosion testing chambers
can be heated up and cooled down very quickly because of
the better heat conductivity of the coated stainless
steel.

Also the temperature and thus the relative humidity can
be regulated in close tolerances. According to the
demands of the diverse factory standards the CCT-MF
chambers are additionally equipped with the operating
system "WL" warm air with RPM regulated ventilator and
the operating system "RF" controlled humidity. HT
chambers are designed for test procedures with test
bench temperatures that reach a maximum of 80 °C.

The standard version of test chambers and chests comes
up with the patented "CWC system" for controlled
condensation. The ambient air used to ventilate the test
bench while cooling down can be conditioned with a
climate module which corresponds to the factory standard
VW PV 1210: temp: 23°C ± 2 °C, relative humidity: 50%±
6%.

Special advantages offers the SPS control system which
assures that process parameters are reached exactly and
rapidly and that they are strictly maintained. The
touchpad's clearly structured menu navigation makes it
easy and secure to handle the test chamber. Process data
can be visualised, supervised and documented with our
software called VisiCORR®. For this purpose, the
standard chamber is equipped with a Modbus RTU and an
Ethernet TDP/IP interface.
